飛騨のさるぼぼ（Hida's Sarubobo）

山また山の飛騨の国に、代々女の子が生まれると、
各家々に伝え残された愛玩具として、真っ赤な布 に黒じゅす地の頭といった一見愛嬌のある人形、
つまりさるぼぼがお手玉、まりなどと一緒に幼い女の子達の人気を集めていました。
大正末期頃まで見られたなつかしいこの玩具は、むかしむかしを思いおこす事ができる語り草ともなっています。
昭和25年に私の父が、女の子の「魔除け」として、昔ながらの「猿ぼぼ」を再現し
人々の心から忘れられることのないようこれからも昔の玩具をつくり続けてまいります。
Deep in the mountains of Hida, this is a type of toy that has been passed
on
by families as they have raised generation after generation of young girls.
Today we can see many beautiful dolls made of plastic and other things.But
long ago people had this pretty doll with the red cloth face over black
cloth.
Along with beanbags and balls,Sarubobo was a popular thing for young girls
to collect.
Hearkening back to pre-modern times, this toy has become a legendary symbol
that reminds people of the pasｔ.
In 1950, my father revived the Sarubobo from long ago,the protective charm
for young girls. We continue to make this ancient toy, so that the spirit
of
the past will not be forgotten in people's hearts.
